I specialize in level design and systems design, and have worked on multiple team-based and solo projects. My projects include DigiPen coursework with conditions meant to emulate the industry as well as personal projects made from the ground up.

Metal Alchemist

Solo Passion Project

January 2019-September 2023

Full Metal Alchemist is a mod of Warcraft 3, adapting a popular anime series of the same name. It is an asymmetrical MOBA genre game, featuring a playable cast of 38 characters each with 5+ abilities. Over the course of its development, it has been played by a Discord server of 200 people. Today it continues with a cult following.

Pokemon World Silver

Solo Project

Pokémon World Silver is a Warcraft 3 mod that incorporates assets from Pokémon games, drawing inspiration from them. As the sole designer, I aimed for a balance between accessibility and depth, offering a less competitive experience while retaining the strategic intricacies inherent to the Pokémon franchise. This mod faithfully recreates many mechanics from the Pokémon universe within the confines of an RTS engine.

Chuckles

DigiPen Team Project

In the side scrolling run and gun game, Chuckles, players encounter several clown/circus themed opponents for challenging boss fights. As  the sole game designer in a team of four on this project, I designed all of the bosses and levels for this game. I also programmed a good deal and worked with the scripts of the programmers.

EFO: Escape from Outerworld

In EFO, players race against the clock to reach their spaceship before time runs out in a side scrolling platformer. I worked on the systems design of getting the player movement and telekinesis to be fun and satisfying to use, and designed the full 10-minute length level.

Fly By Night

4 Person Team Project

January 2024

Fly By Night is a top-down shooter game created within the intense 48-hour timeframe of the 2024 Global Game Jam. In our small team of four, I served as the systems designer, collaborating closely with one coder and two dedicated artists.

Lost
Magic

Solo DigiPen Project

January 2022-December 2022

Lost Magic is a platformer with an emphasis on hack and slash combat and boss battles. In this project, I designed satisfying-to-use controls and abilities, three levels, and memorable boss encounters. To avoid players becoming overwhelmed, I gradually introduced elements. Boss battles were an important focus as a test of player's skills. Narrative elements hinged on the excitement of taking bosses down.
